Top 5

Hi. I am back. From the grave. lol
So as you may know from my last two posts, I have been really into anime and Japanese culture in the past month, so I thought it would be a good idea to recommend my fav anime films (Only films. I am not an anime tv show guru. Yet.) that are 1.) fun to watch. 2.) super cool 3.) trendy and hip and you can show off your amazing skills. So lets get a poppin'!

1.Akira
I recently watched Akira for the first time, after renting it from the best shop ever, 20th century flicks, which is literally the only dvd rental shop that I know of. And it was so good. At one point I was like I need a motorcycle right now and a jacket and a gang and my own neo-tokyo (or neo-bristol. Um....no) And fight some bad guys or other street gangs. If you didn't know Akira is about a young boy who has the best best best best motorcycle ever, has to fight his best friend, after his best friend is consumed with a great surging power. It was based on the 1982 manga, by the same name and is very highly critiqued. And just so you didn't believe me, here are some screen caps from literally the best anime tumblr ever 80sanime

See???

2.Summer wars
Now this is a great film. Like when I was still a small super chubby weird little girl and was into manga and anime, but didn't really get it, this was alongside the studio ghibli films that I watched. This is basically about Japan and ,I think the whole world as well, lives being on a singular website. It controls the money, the security, the electricity, even nuclear weapons. Then a boy staying with his friend (the girl he has the hots for) and her family, gets framed for being the hacker who hacks into the website and basically ruins everything. Then a load of shit goes down. There are family troubles, troubles with the actual hacker and a lot of trippy computer scenes, which made me have a bit of a spasm. AND the only way I can show the comedy and beauty of this cool film is in the form of the ALMIGHTY GIF.

Literally me when I even see the guy I like.

OMG me.

3.The girl who leapt through time
This is like summer wars. Watched it at an age which was way to young to understand anything. But I re-watched it and.... OH MY HEAVEN AND MIGHTY AND LOVE OF ALL THINGS MIGHTY IN THIS WORLD THAT IS HOLY. GOD this is such a gooooooood film. Its funny, romantic and has all the aspects of a teenage drama. But and this is a big but (lol) it has sic fi aspects and a massive twist at the end. It is fabulous and beautiful and tear worthy and one of the protagonists, Chiakiis a peng ting. And the ending between Chiaki and Makoto just................gave me the absolute feels and when I was searching it up I nearly cried and I just can't.

I'm sorry most of these pics are of Chiaki and Makoto but they make me feel so....happy but sad but lovely inside.

4.Ocean waves
This film is from a very small anime studio. I don't know if you know it, it's pretty underground. Its called Studio Ghibli. I know so original. But this 1993 film is so cool and fun and it is...........just so good. Its about this guy who is besties with this nerdy guy with glasses. Then a pretty, smart, sporty, mysterious girl moves and a love triangle evolves. AND A STORY IS CREATED. It was a tv movie and it doesn't have the fantastical, beautifully set, and it isn't created by Ghibli's big man Hayao Miyazaki, but it does have the beautiful charm and sweetness. It also is a love story so you know.

Yes, and so is mine.
Look for it watch it and enjoy it because it is so great.
5.Spirited Away
I am not even kidding when I say this, but Spirited away is my favourite film (next to monsters inc) and am its biggest fan. I love it so so so so so so so so much and I once watched it twice in one day. Seriously. I want all the posters, all the march, everything, I want it all. I also for quite a while thought it was special only to me because I was born in 2001 and it came out in 2001. If you have been living under a rock for the last 15 years then you probably don't know the storyline. And its about a girl called Chihiro Ogino who's flowers are withering and she's moving and she stops with her mum and dad at a weird meadowy, hilly, temple turned market. Then tragedy! Her mum and dad turn into PIGS. PIGS!!! Because they eat so much junk food they are then turned into pigs because they are "greedy". Then Chihiro-chan (I gots to be correct) becomes a worker at a bath house, gets her name changed to Sen, makes some friends like Haku, Kamaji and Lin, and confronts a creepy, greedy and sweet spirit called "No Face" although he does kind of have a face. And I will challenge anyone to a duel if they say that they are a bigger fan, because I was born in 2001 AND spirited away came out in 2001, so......connections.

Literally. NJ. NK. NADDA SMILES THIS IS MY FAVOURITE FILM. I LOVE IT SO MUCH.

Anyway now I have shared my top 5, I'm gonna give you my 5 that are still super good but just didn't make it into my personal top 5.

Terrorrrrr

I, just like the last post, am still into anime. So I was scrolling through netflix looking at the anime section and my sister about a month before said "omigod mollie i just started watching a new anime and its giving me the feels" and then she proceeded to roll around the house. She only watched a few episodes of it and hadn't finished until I had finished on Saturday. BUT I watched this season. This beautiful season of love, tears, beautiful teenagers and motorcycling maniacs. Its called........Terror in resonance. AND AND AND AND!!!!!!!! Its amazing. Its by the same guy who directed Cowboy Bebop and it is beautiful. Its basically about, without giving to many spoilers, two teenage boys who are called 12 and 9. And they are terrorists. Wait, I know you're going "what are you talking about you crazy weirdo?" Yes and they don't kill, they injure, but never kill. One day they're blowing up a building and a suicidal, lonely school girl called Lisa and they make her their accomplice. Then shit goes down. BIG TIME. There are guns and bombs and tears (as said before) and if you have a soul it will make you cry big time. So watch it. It is on netflix and I've already made a shrine to it on my wall.
Black haired boy is 9, COMPUTER GENIUS, Light browned boy is 12, MOTORCYCLING MANIAC and Lisa the beautiful little baby girl is the accomplice.

So bye for now.
Watch it.

Le animu

I've recently done something that I wouldn't expect myself to do, neither would my friends or family. I've started watching anime. As you may know anime is a Japanese cartoon, normally with some dramatic compelling story which is incredibly fun to watch and extremely addictive. I guess my addiction started out with kill bill. I know what you're saying, "kill bill isn't anime! omg ur such a loser." But there is a snippet of anime in it. It is also heavily influenced by Japan so it caught me in that net. Then I watched the 2001 film of cowboy bebop. (my review on that film can be found under "my legs feel heavy") then ghost in the shell and summer wars and the girl who kept through time and my good friend studio ghibli. I then came to a halt. It was time. The films were one thing. But the tv shows are another. I started out with the easiest one. Its on netflix, my sister had seen it and gave it good ratings. It was death note. So I started this 37- 20 minute long episodes-season on the tenth of June. I finished 4 days later in a state after crying over numerous parts and melting into a pile of black clothes. Like the witch. From wizard of oz. Then I started Tokyo ghoul and finished that quickly as well. I've started a new one though called psycho-pass and it is very good. I think this is the reason I'm failing my exams. I should stop......nah.

Anyway, goodbye for now and I'll post soon. Maybe about more anime. See y'all later.

the same old thing we did last week

So I've started watching a tv show on netflix called that 70s show. Its basically this show made in the 90s about a group of teens in the 70s. Firstly its really funny and good and there are some absolute babes in the show (cough, cough...Hyde...cough). And secondly the style is bitching in the show. Like the classic, pop look of Mila Kunis' character Jackie, who wears a lot of scarves and platform shoes. And the polyester, disco look of Wilmer Valderrama's character Fez, with his crazy shirts and high waisted flares.

Ashton Kutcher is a babe in this also.

The t shirt looks like she's wearing a picture of herself.

Heavenly goddess of style.

SO....she's an absolute babe. Apparently Mila Kunis was only 14 when she auditioned for the show which now I think of it, is really weird. Thats like me doing that show. Which would of been hella cool.
Anyway the show is really good and I really like all the characters, except from Laurie because she's such a bitch. But above all, my favourite character is...........Steven Hyde. Because he's a babe and because he slays those sunglasses and graphic tees and because he's sweet and really odd and fell in love with a punk chic, so you know cool.

That t shirt tho.

Those sunglasses

Merry xmas bitches

Anyways I just really like this tv show it is killer so go get netflix and binge watch 'till you fall asleep because thats the way to go.
So see ya.

I'm wearing bellbottom jeans with this sweater btw. And this was taken on my mum's Photo Booth app on her mac. In my kitchen.

guess who's back??

So I'm sorry that I havent been around for awhile but things have been really busy. I've got exams in a week, I'm going to Holland(when I told people, they just said "well have a good time blazing a joint and getting those hos." Very mature). I also have a zine I'm working on, that I'm thinking about selling in some shops or a fair. Anyway I know I said that I would do a monthly film review, and its coming I swear but I'm typing this on my phone right now so its a little bit difficult to insert pictures and all that fancy stuff. But anyway I'm starting kickboxing and I've quit synchronized swimming. A bit random but #lol.

Bye for now and I will be back sooner this time.

Sunnies

Now that it is finally starting to show a bit of light, in the form of sunshine, I've been wearing a lot more sunglasses. Sunglasses are a big thing for me as when I was into the 60s (about a million years ago) they were the only thing that I could actually find that was 60s, in my price range or would fit me. I have 2 pairs of 60s sunglasses and I love them so much. Like literally so much I can't even go on.* So I was thinking that I would give you a little tour of my sunglasses as I'm pretty proud of my little collection. By the way I have a few more pairs but I can't find them or I couldn't be bothered to find them.

These are from this little shop, not many people know it, its called Amazon.

These were a pound from a salvation army. This was when I thought juicy couture was cool. I nearly bought a hoodie for a fiver, but I stopped myself before it was too late.

These were a present from my grandma a couple of years. They're Moschino. Oh yes look at my brand.

These my dad got for me off eBay for a tenner. I think they're pretty cool.

This is an original sixties find! I know omg. How will you live!? Anyway they are from ebay for a tenner. Again.

These were a gift for my 14th birthday. From my dad.

And these are from Primark. Which my sister got for me.

So that was my Sunglasses collection. I know, bask in the glory of my collection. Sorry for the really bad quality of the photos, I took them on my phone with the flash on a pair of karate trousers at 20:45. So that explains the shite quality. Anyway I'm going to try and broaden my sunglasses collection, because they are one of my favourite things ever. I might do a 60s inspired look book from films or something. Like an Barbarella look book. Because you know, I would totally dress like Barbarella to go to sainsburys.

Anyway goodbye. See ya soon. Comment on which ones you like the most.
Bye bye.

Black bobbed babes

So I was watching Leon aka the professional, and I realised that there are a lot of cool babes with dark bobs with the Japanese fringe. And watching these films you want one so bad because who doesn't want a black bob with a fringe.

Firstly, the first babe, the creme de la creme, the best babe of the dark bob.

Mia bloody Wallace. She's got the moves, the bob and buys $5 milkshakes. If you wear a black bob wig you are probably gonna be called Mia Wallace.

Now that we have seen the wonder that is Mia Wallace, (Lets just bask in the glory of her), we are now going to move on to our second BBB. And this time its Mathilda. From Leon the fucking Professional. The hair. The clothes. The impression of Mike Myers doing an impression of Marilyn Monroe. So beautiful. Her bob is a bit shorter than Mia's but it suits her face so well and shows off that tiny little neck.

Oh Mathilda when will you stop being perfect. 3rd and an ultimate babe in herself. Winona Ryder in Mermaids. Charlotte Flax. She's a Christian in a jewish family. She is absolutely gorgeous.

See what I mean?!?!?!?!?!?!? Absolutely fabulous.

So that concludes the list of BBBs obviously there are many more, but these are some of my
favourites.
All photos are from the search terms, Pulp Fiction tumblr, Mermaids film tumblr and leon the professional tumblr.

Goodbye.

P.S. I will know be buying a black wig and will be wearing it all the time.
